Unnamed Peak Readsboro 4/25. Parked by the cemetery and walked down the road to the GMNF boundry where I left the road and into the woods. Nice open woods and not very steep. Some patches of snow at about 3000'. A large flat summit area with ribbon on many of the trees makes it hard to find the jar. I think all the ribbons are marking a future wind farm. Next one to go up to this summit needs to bring a small notebook, since the jar just has scraps of paper. Just less then 2 miles round trip with an elevation of 700 feet.
Ludlow South Mountain 5/5. Another easy hike starting on a Okemo State Forest Road that becomes a snowmobile trail. From the snowmobile trail to the summit is only about 2/3 of a mile and 700 foot elevation gain. From the gate where I parked my car to the summit was 4.6 miles round trip and 900 feet of elevation. Still large patches of snow near the summit.
