Trail Conditions: Lincoln woods dry and in great shape as usual. One easy blowdown just before the suspension bridge. Crossing Carrigan Branch will be a necessary ford if the water were any higher, same for the East Branch on Shoal Pond trail. Shoal Pond trail very wet. A few patches of snow, but not a problem. Many blowdowns, but all but three are easy step-overs. Ethan Pond trail in great shape; All wet spots are bridged. Thoreau Falls trail dry with a few blowdowns, none difficult. East Side trail a nice alternative to the Wilderness trail out to the campsite, but the gravel road portion is a killer, I would prefer Lincoln Woods to this.
Special Equipment: I could have used a set of Tevas for fording Carrigan Branch and the East Branch.
Comments: Great Weekend. I only saw a handful of people on Sunday, and only one other on Monday. Considering where I was, this was quite surprising.
