Date of Hike: 6/14/2008

Trail Conditions: Some mud on the walk to the peak of the ridges trailhead along the pond, otherwise - most of this hike is on talus, so the conditions are fairly stable. A few minor blowdowns in the woods in the cols, but nothing that wasn't very easy to get around. Snow is gone, except for one patch on the east side of the Traveler which we could see from Rt. 159 on the drive in...

Special Equipment Required: Lots and lots of DEET!

Comments: We were constantly swarmed by clouds of blackflies for the entire 7.5 hours it took us to complete this circuit. We didn't take a single break longer than 30-60 seconds due to this. It was awful! It was also kind of on the warm side.
