Date of Hike: 6/28/2008
Trail Conditions: Despite lots of rain in Bangor last night, the trail was surprisingly dry. Woods were damp at worst, rocks were mostly OK, especially above treeline on Cathedral where dryness matters. Trails well maintained, bog bridges not rotted, no blowdowns, etc. Typical erosion coming down the Saddle, but that's been that way for years.
Special Equipment Required: Boots with good grip is important on Cathedral. No bug dope or sunscreen needed today.
Comments: Socked in by clouds the entire day, only views were brief views into the north basin while coming up Cathedral. Summit had about 40' of visibility tops. Oh well.
