Date of Hike: 6/28/2008
Trail Conditions: Trails up beautiful, Madison Gulf Headwall wet conditions, Parapet and upper part of Daniel Webster Scout Trail took care to follow because Mt. Madison was completely in the clouds, cairns hard to find and paint next to impossable to see. Trail down was wet and muddy but not terrible, several blowdowns.
Special Equipment Required: Rope - useful on headwall to lift a heavy or large pack.
Comments: There was about 20ft visablity this day, but the alpine flora was spectacular and in full bloom, so there was plenty of scenery to enjoy. I would not recommend the Madison Gulf Trail for decent in any conditions.
