Date of Hike: 6/28/2008

Trail Conditions: Trail is suffering from some erosion in many spots. There are some blowdowns to climb over or under. There are a few areas where the trail makes a less than obvious turn requiring exploration from a known spot to find the true path. One wooded sharp left turn had blowdowns going straight giving the impression the trail continued on the other side of the blowdowns.

Special Equipment Required: Rain gear. It never really rained on us but we were in the clouds for the majority of the hike. Brushing against wet vegetation made it like going through a car wash. Rocks were slippery.

Comments: No idea how good the views from the North outlook or the South cliffs were as we could not se more than a couple hundred feet. Spur trail to mine site seemed to continue on for a while with no clear terminus. Went as far as our turn around time. Saw a couple piles of tailings and water filled shaft.
