Conditions: Trail is in good shape. Some wet areas do to the amount of rain in recent weeks. Most spots are easy to get around with rock hopping and logs.
Comment: This was my first time climbing West Kennebago and was excited to see the old Rangers cabin and tower. To my surprise, the cabin has been completely destoyed by fire. My friends visited the cabin 7 years ago and are in the area quite a bit, but didn't know about the cabin being burned.
The tower was cool, but locked. The views were socked in due to early clouds. All in all a good day on the trail, although a little disappointing.
