Katahdin via Helon Taylor, Knife Edge,Saddle, Chimney Pond
Date of Hike: Sunday, August 10, 2008
Trail Conditions: cloud soup for most of hike,wettest i've ever seen trails up here in August
Special Equipment Required: None
Comments: Thought we had a brief weather window, slammed shut halfway up Helon----Helon which should have been bone dry this time of year had small lakes on lower half-Knife Edge always a challenge/fun even in the soup; no VFTT; Saddle Trail it's usual, deteriorating, miserable self; brief, great views at Chimney Pond,; CP trail out very wet
