Hancock (North & South): Hancock Notch Trail, Cedar Brook Trail, Hancock Loop Trail
Date of Hike: August 16 & 17, 2008
Trail Conditions: Muddy
Special Equipment Required: Gaiters
Comments: Hancock Notch Trail was only a bit muddy. Cedar Brook Trail was quite wet, with many slippery roots and muddy sections. The Hancock Loop Trail is relatively dry, except for the 1.4 miles between the peaks. That section of the trail had a number of standing pools of water (with deep mud below) requiring bushwhacking around them.
Brook crossings on the lower portions of this route were easily done.
