Wow, I just came back from Chamonix last week. It did rain like hell for about a day and a half and then the next morning you could see the snow blowing off Mont Blanc (It looked like snow through my wife's telephoto lense).
We tried to go up Aguille Du Midi for 3 days in a row, but it was closed due to high winds.

Another climbing tragedy. Mont Blanc can be brutal.
