Started at Lincoln Woods with Muddytrails and headed up the Osseo Trail. Trails were in great condition. Impressive set of stairs on the Osseo Trail. I like how the trail ends at the summit of Mt Flume. All of a sudden you go from hiking in the woods to a panoramic view. Long hike to Mt. Garfield campground. After leaving the Lincoln Woods trail there wasn't any water along the route until hitting the Mt. Garfield campground.
Hiked out the next day via Franconia Brook Trail. One moose siting near Thirteen Falls. Bugs at a minimum - no bug dope needed.
Next time I'll remember the sunscreen.
Suggestions: Trekking poles, 3 liters of water, sunscreen
