Date of Hike: Sept 12
Route taken: left Glen Ellis after dropping a bike off a Wild Cat (fairly late 12pm). Took Wild Cat Ridge Trail, great trail, well maintained. Began seeing through hikers at the gondola; the plan was to bag Wild Cat Mt and return and descend ski run. Perfect temp, overcast with no rain however very wet, feeling strong so went after Carter Dome regardless of bike drop. Up and down Carter Mariah trail another well maintained trail, and down and out the 19 mile trail. Hike back out to Wild Cat on 16 and picked up the bike and down by 6pm.
Special equipment: layers, wind/rain jacket though not needed today you must be prepared, season has begun to change in the Whites.
Many thru hikers in NH traveling "the" journey...no spiderman...must have stayed broke...
