Trail Conditions: Going up the Edmands path was fine, mostly dry. Crawford Path was wet and from Pierce down was muddy with many small rivers flowing down the trail until diverted by the water bars. Going to the top of Eisenhower we all enjoyed the new wood steps..thank you trail crew!
Equipment needed: Rainwear!
Comments: We looked up about 1 mile up the Edmands path and saw a lightening of the sky and thought it would turn out to be a fine day. But that soon disappeared and we entered the clouds. Quite humid making for a slow climb. No vftt anywhere except an occasional glimpse heading over towards Pierce. We went from damp clouds to frank rain as we descended from Eisenhower. Surprised by the large number of hikers we met today, more than on any Tuesday we've hiked over the summer! But even a wet day out beats sitting at home and the company was good with Silverfox and 5 other OTHH hikers.
