Trail conditions: a bit wet
Special equipment needed: none
Comments: Intended to rock climb AMC Route but weather wasn't real good so we opted for the hiking/scrambling traverse. Left car at new Brook Tr. parking lot, hiked west up the road to Loop Tr. start and up that to Old Chimney Tr. and the top. Not for everyone as the last 15 feet entails a hand over hand climb via fixed line on steep rock. The ridge traverse of the west and east peaks followed, then down to the pond and back to the car. Awesome hike, awesome day, awesome colors. Didn't see another soul.
