Manageable river crossings but poles are still essential as the water flow is heavy, and each crossing has a few rocks that are slippery. (I am a wimp.) Just a few muddy sections on the lower flat walk in, and also up around the 3.0 mile point where rivulets cross the trail.
Pristine skies and beautiful views. A veritable human highway with heavy foot traffic making its way up to the hut, but the trail was no worse for all the wear. Our two 14-year old autistic twin sons did spectacularly as usual - we are so proud of them.
