Started and finished at Grafton Notch.
Trail Conditions: less muddy than two weeks ago, still a few soggy spots though. some ice between the lean-to and the west peak, and also some between the west peak and the col. We were able to negotiate around icy spots with care.
Special Equipment Required: poles helpful. I carried stabilicers but did not use them.
Comments: It was COLD Saturday night but we were well equipped and stayed warm and comfortable. Thanks to John and Al for good food, wine, and companionship. Photos www.pbase.com/jonathantr
