Trail Conditions: Wet. Slippery rock and wet leaves. Puddles and running streams down the trail closer to Everett. Hazardous in my opinion.

Special Equipment Required: Waterproof boots, extra socks.

Comments: Well it was to be a perfect day, though cold (41) when I got to Great Barrington. Soon at the trailhead it was just perfect temp to start a steep uphill climb (45). By the ridge I was in a tshirt and shorts, maybe not (50) yet though. The going was very slippery. I enjoy this section of the AT cause of the terrian (nice ridge walk looking east and north), Mt. Everett not any big deal. The short visit to Guilder Pond is very peaceful.
