The morning hike north of here went so quickly, that we ate some lunch in Middlebury and returned to the ridge for a quick hike up to Sucker Brook Shelter and the LT in the afternoon.
Predominant conditions in the woods today are WET, but the Sucker Brook Trail is a very gentle mile in length with 400 feet of gain (mostly in the last half of the hike, but it's all gentle. Trail well-laid out and marked. No problem blowdowns.
Less than an hour up and back; only people seen were hunters along USFS 67 on this first weekend of rifle season.
Nice afternoon walk.
