I had climbed North and Middle Sugarloaf in the morning (see trip report) then drove to Franconia Notch to climb Mt Pemigewasset from the Flume parking lot.

There was a lot less snow here than on Zealand Rd, so I didn't put on my stabilicers right away. The trail was a mix of leaves, light snow, and ice. After a while, there were so many patches of ice that I decided to put on the stabilicers. The summit ledges were mostly bare but there were several inches of snow in the woods on top.

Unlike my trip to Sugarloaf, I saw several other hikers on the trail and at the summit.

The stabilicers helped make my descent much quicker, but the whole trail was basically bare-bootable.
