Special Equipment Required: Light traction in pack (barebooted)
Comments:
Mt. Shaw Trail to Tate Mountain Trail - patches of 1" snow (with crust) in a few spots, but mostly good going.
Tate Mountain Trail - A few patches of snow (with crust), 1-2" deep.
Banana Trail - patches of snow, patches of ice, patches of dry ground. Steep drop between Big Ball Mountain peaks is quickly icing up and may require ice equipment soon.
There are no water crossings via this route. Both remaining blowdowns can be stepped over.
