I had a set...they terrible so I gave them away.

Honestly, there isn't enough traction on the 'spikes' to get grip on flat pavement. If you lead with your heel, it will slip until your foot is flat on the ground.

That and the nubs are pretty small, like studs on a car tire.

I was in Target the other day buying some kind of home appliance for my sister and notice they have something similar, but only like $6. Looked very much the same and if Lawn Sale said the Petzl ones were crappy, the ones at Target must take the cake!!!!

Traction aids

They seem to be a cross between Stabilicers and Micro-spikes.

Comments?

Actually, they are more like Get-a-Grips® but with fewer studs. Having used Get-a-Grips as well as Stabilicers® and Microspikes®, I'd say they wouldn't work as well as any of them. More than likely they would be somewhere between Yaktrax® and Get-a-Grips. In other words, not very good for most hiking conditions. I won't use anything but Microspikes until crampons are necessary.

Definitely a domestic appliance. Sidewalks, driveways, roof shoveling.
