Pleasant Mt. Via Ledges Trail 12-23 -08

Broke trail solo to the summit. Deep snow. Drifts 3 to 4 ft. near the top. Used my MSR 22" Lightnings, but they were not long enough. I left my 30" ones at home and wish that I would have brought them. A 53 min. summer climb took me almost 3 hours. One other set of tracks at the summit from someone who probably used the Fire Wardens trail. No blow downs. Nice day -8 at the start about 22 at the finish. Sun and no wind. Trail dented but needs to be consolidated.
