We hiked up the East Pond Trail from the Kanc to .3 miles from the height of land then headed into the woods. There's about a foot and a half of snow up there.
Bushwacking to the top took us almost 3 hours but it's now packed out for anyone needing
this mountain. It may be difficult to follow our tracks once you get into the thick spruce.
Pretty nice on top. It was 45 degrees and the capsule was easy to find. The last person to sign it was in October.
On the way out the river was a lot higher than it was on our way up due to the melting snow and the sparse snow bridge had disappeared.
