Anyone out there participate in the recent "opening day" reservation event at BSP headquarters (since the rules changed). I would welcome first hand observations of the need to be there camping out to be first versus going soon after they open. I am flexible with dates. Wednesday evening looks to be a nasty one for the hardcores who stick to the tradition of camping out.
I know the BSP rules, I am more interested in what actually goes on.

My eyes blur and I tune out as soon as I start reading through them. I just wanna go there and hike, it's not like I'm applying to be a citizen of the state of Maine.
