Trail Conditions:
Tecumseh Trail: Packed snow. 3-4' of powder on either side of the trail.
Sosman Trail: Drifting loose snow.
Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes are well advised for the entire hike and absolutely necessary for the Sosman Trail. Trekking poles.
Comments: Good day hike. Got a later start than we wanted to. We brought snowboard and skis along to hasten the descent. We ditched our packs at the Sosman intersection and hit the summit then returned and headed across the ridge to the top of Waterville. The lifts had stopped running by the time we got there and we definitely got the last run of the day
Saw two foxes running across the slope as we descended.
