Date of Hike: 2/7/09
Trail Conditions: Packed Snow that was easy to hike on. We wore snowshoes the entire way but others were successfully barebooting with only an occasional posthole.
Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes . . . no traction devices were needed, some ice at the summit could be skirted.
Comments: Optional - It was a warm day. 38 degrees starting, 23 at the summit and the winds at the very top were so strong, I had to crawl on all fours off the summit. Standing up was really not easy to near impossible. This is a relatively easy trail and we did slightly better than book time since it was well packed out. Lots of skiers, sledders and snowboarders on this day. BEAUTIFUL day and trail.
