Could anyone help me? We have a remote cabin in the Cranberry Lake area and like to drive over and hike in the high peaks area. We have two dogs and I don't hike the high peaks with them, only lesser peaks and trails. Our problem is that it takes too long between the drive and the hours hiking to leave them in the cabin. We're trying to find a place for day boarding when we want to mountain hike. Any info. would be helpful.

Try to obtain the name of the local vets and give them a call. They can usually refer you to a decent place to board your pals for the day or possibly overnight. Some vets have their own boarding facilities.
Call the nearest Chamber of Commerce in that area. They should be able to assist you in finding the names of vets.
Also local campgrounds usually have that info.
