Saddleback via Ore Bed Brook 2.14.09

The trail from the Garden to JBL had a dusting of fresh snow, small areas of icy spots, but overall good traction with snowshoes. Carried stabilicers, but conditions were fine for snowshoes. Similar conditions on Ore Bed Brook trail with a bit more fresh snow. Wore snowshoes the entire day, able to get good traction both up and down the steep/ladder sections of Saddleback. All water crossings were fine. Excellent views of Gothics on the way up Saddleback, and great views from the top of the cliffs. A beautiful day with clear blue skies, breezy, but warm temps.
