Trail was unbroken from the last storm. I broke trail all the way to the firetower summit through about 18"+ of new snow. The second time this year I broke this trail out. Sinking about 12" with 30" snowshoes on. Three other hikers after me.
The trail is a real nice snowshoe track now. Don't try to bare boot. One of my snowshoes broke on the way down and I tried to bare boot but after a few steps and going in to my knee, I made a quick trail repair and was able to get out safely. No blow downs.
