Gloppy soft consolidated snow, with the bottom falling out later in the day. Decent snowshoe track, although several parties of bareboot postholers degraded it somewhat.
We went with the intent of going up Mt. Hor but found the CCC road unplowed. Maybe everybody else knows this already, but we didn't.
Snowshoes essential (please, people!); poles nice. Good sugar season hike.
