Skylight and Colden from Upper Works, March 17, 2009:

I'm new at this, so I hope this works:
Firm ski in to Colden dam. All good crossing Flowed Lands. Switched to snowshoes at dam. Softened on way up to Four Corners and soft the rest of the day. Colden via Lake Arnold-sunny and nice, all good cover. Tricky dropping off south side of Colden down to the lake, ended up bare booting for first 300 vertical feet, then back to snowshoes. Note- Skiing, at least with decent streambed crossings, on Calamity Brook trail is just about done for this season unless the weather changes fast. Looks more like mid-April than mid-March...
