A question about the Gothics

What is the shortest possible route to the summit? I would prefer to take the path that starts at the Ausable Club.

The Weld trail starts at the AMC, and goes along the lake road for 4 miles until you come to the lake. It is a relativly easy climb to the COL between Sawtooth and Pyramid peak. At that point if you want to do Sawtooth, it is only another 500 feet to Sawtoohts summit. I like this trail becouse you can fill up on water at the falls (dont forget the falls!). Also there is a good stream at 3000 feet to fill up on water again. You should go this way becouse the view from Pyramid is awsome. Then armstrong is only a 200 foot climb. There is a path back to AMC between Gothics and armstrong so you dont have to go down the north face of armstrong. those rocks can be tricky. you can go to do upper wolfjam from armstrong (it is only another 200 feet climb). but now you are adding more mileage than you might want.
