Funny that the article is from "Budget Travel.com."

$112 (non-member) to stay on a peak-season Saturday doesn't sound like budget travel to me!

Too bad the author is 38 and already too lazy to cook his own dinner in the woods, and wishes for a zip-line from Lafayette summit to Greenleaf!

Bugdet all depends on your audience.

If you live in Chicago & your vacations in better times was two weeks in Belize doing the rain Forest & Scuba Diving while staying at a high end hotel, then $112. per day per person for terrain far different than Chicago with Breakfast & Dinner included would be cheap.

They would expect thin mattresses & bunks too, you probably could tell them that they are lucky at that cost to not be sleeping on the floor:D.

I am in Orange County (yes, as in Real Wives of OC & Laguna Beach) this week and am pretty sure the people around here would find it to be a great bargain. Don't think most of the ladies would be up for a hut trip, though; they might break a nail. :D

A zip line from Lafayette to Cannon would be even cooler. :D:D:D
