No problem blowdowns or stream crossings. Trail conditions variable. In AM traction beneficial especially in icier upper sections of Falling Waters Trail. Ridge barebootable with long stretches of bare trail. Traction highly recommended for the OBP on the way down, but in pm trail softening considerably. Postholing seen if people got outside the most compact portion of the trails but for most stretches even that wasn't not bad. Little postholing in the center seen. I suppose it could become an issue soon with warm weather. We carried snowshoes but didn't use them. Crampons and microspikes dominated, an occasional snowshoe was seen, and down low barebooters were common. Only one other when we were on Lincoln, but many at Lafayette and the hut. A great day on the ridge in sun with the Mighty tough little dog and Eyes with smiles.
