Trail Conditions - Lower end of AT 4"-10" of snow - stream crossings bare - above Tablerock 1'+, above 2500' 2'+, West Peak 3'...there is considerable ice 300yds below West Peak, we were able to bushwack around it.
Special Equipment - The majority wore snowshoes start to finish - some used micro's to tablerock then snowshoes - ** you NEED snowshoes above Tablerock (unless you're into post-holing of the severe kind) - if you venture from West Peak to East, you will NEED crampons - lots of ice on the ledges.
Comments - No VFTT today - still a great day to be on the trail with the MOAC gang - Special mention of the day - Jeff gets the award for going through 2pair of snowshoes today! Thanks to Jeff, Lisa, Dave, Kathy K., Gerry, Dan, Sue & Kathy D.
