Date of Hike: 4-18-09
Trail Conditions:
Eyebrow: wet and icy, especially after the rungs. Solid monorail...but fairly narrow. 2-4 feet of snow off the monorail!
AT: Solid, but narrow, monorail. Up to 5 (or more) feet of snow off the monorail. Snow softer and much less deep closer to the trailhead...to wet rocks and muddy. Easily gone around.
Special Equipment Required: Crampons a must on the eyebrow...useful on the AT. Microspikes would do too.
Comments: AWESOME trail...
