Trail: Kearsarge trail to Kearsarge North
Conditions: A bit of mud down low but mostly dry for the majority of the trail. Some water running over ledges about half-way up requires a bit of caution as they're a bit slippery. The upper part of the trail - approximately 1/2-mile - is snow-covered, solid and a bit icy. I used Microspikes for this portion and didn't posthole once. There was one steep icy section where the trail took a sharp right, which required some creative bushwhacking to get around. The snow ends just below the main summit area.
Comments: 6.2-mile round trip with 2,650' elevation gain, and fantastic 360-degree views from the top, plus an enclosed viewing tower. Puts quite a few of the 4Ks to shame.
