There are many roadside springs in the Adirondacks. In my original blog on this topic, I included an article by Phil Gallos that mentions a whole bunch. Some of those I know about are Lumberjack Spring south of Tupper Lake, a spring near Brant Lake, and a spring west of Dannemora.
 
Newcomb roadside spring

There is (was at least last year) one in Newcomb S of town by their small ski hill. The road continues to Goodnow Flow.

Kudos to NYS. They cleaned up all the old fence, and the garbage at this site.
