Bob Packard, a retired math professor from Flagstaff who has visited all the county highpoints in more states than anyone else (28?), has climbed over 3000 different peaks mostly in the western US including over 1000 with 1000 feet of prominence, and has hiked on 6 continents and several islands, is presently in the Northeast visiting peaks with over 2000 feet of prominence. So if you meet an old guy on one of them, he might have some stories to tell. And if you have new route ideas on some obscure ones, pass them along.

Well if he ends up in the Beaudry this weekend he will run into all sorts of odd characters doing the balsam breaststroke, the fir wave, and the hobble bush hop! :D

He reports finishing the NE p2k (and all US p2k E of the Mississippi) on Snow Mtn, you may see his signature in some registers but he couldn't find the Caribou register and couldn't open Baker

If you think bushwhacking ME peaks alone in the rain is nutty, next month he's peakbagging in Iran
