The husband of one of my wife's good friends (which, by default, makes him MY friend...

) is one of the top guys at Skyhook. They're not getting rich (yet) but the technology is pretty cool and having it installed on new iPhones sure as heck doesn't hurt.

I don't think it'll have much effect on our backcountry shenanigans, however, unless there are plans to put in hot spots at the Interior Outpost and the JBL...

Well, I hope they do get rich. Please pass the word that I'm impressed with the performance of my iPhone in this regard. FWIW, I've been a handheld GPS user for about ten years.
