Date of Hike: June 9, 2009
Trail Conditions: Dry. The West Branch of the Pleasant River was only about a foot deep at it's deepest point.
Special Equipment Required: DEET-essential, water shoes-recommended.
Comments: Katahdin Iron Works Road is fine coming in from Brownsville, but it's defiantly worse on the Greenville side. The rain last night won't have helped it any-there are places where you can tell the logging trucks tore it up good when it was softer. The mosquitoes are hungry. They're at their worst down by the river and the parking lot.
