Trail Conditions: Zealand trail nice and clear with the occasional muddy patch. Twinway up to Zeacliff then on to Zealand summit well maintained with a muddy patch here and there. Watch the loose rocks up near the ladders - some are fairly large and wobbly. Zeacliff Trail was it's usual horrible, steep self with unforgiving rapid elevation gain/loss. Ethan pond trail was the best of the lot as it stays up above the wet ground for the most part.

Special Equipment Required: Waterproof boots and insect repellent!

Comments: A few days late but I figured it couldn't hurt to throw this in. Trails in good shape considering several weeks of rain! Had a fairly dry hike with only a few downpours and a thunderstorm here and there around the sunshine!

Added note: There are some great viewpoints slightly off trail above Zeacliff pond. After you reach the high point on the trail where you can almost see the pond below, and a nice view north towards Hale, continue onwards until you reach the first waterbar along the ridge. At this point, you can drop down on the left between the rock ledge and a tree to a flat area off the trail - it is a quick walk through the trees over to the ledges, where there is a great view of the pond below. From this vantage, you can see another great mossy ledge across from you to the south, which is also accessible from the trail further on.
