Date of Hike:8/2/09
Trail Conditions: Wet and intense mosquitoes down low
Special Equipment Required: Blueberry Containers
Comments: Optional - We took "Trail A" (the traditional route) from the East Andowver Road parkng area. The summit is now protected by a local conservation group and there is signage and a lot more blazing. There now appears to be a loop from East Andvoer road but the loop is not marked as such at the upper intersection. Not a record year for berries on top but after a bit of looking we found a good patche and picked a couple of gallons. The alpine berries are fairly prolific (but tart). Worth the buggy start and the views are always worth the trip. The berries are just coming in, the may be good for two more weekends.
