Date of Hike: 8/15/2009
Trail Conditions:For the most part the trail was in good shape, there were a few muddy sections, but most times there are "go-arounds" for them. However, the bug situation was terrible the whole way, including sitting at the top. They looked like black flies, but did not bite... but the literally surrounded you everywhere (we started at 12 noon and returned back about 6pm)
Special Equipment Required: Bug Spray! (something we didn't have), I do a lot of hiking, and live in Jackson, and the bugs this summer are some of the worst I've ever seen... normally in August they have started to abate!
Comments: We only ran into 2 other people (hiking together) in the 6 hours we were on the trail, and it was a sunny Saturday (a rarity in these parts!)
