Trail Conditions:
For this loop hike, the Moat Mountain Trail was used for the ascent, and the Red Ridge trail was used for the descent.
All the various brook crossings were very doable throughout the course of this loop. There were a few very minor blowdowns here & there. The Moat Mountain Trail was very wet & slippery in areas that are shaded from the sun. Both the Moat Mountain Trail and the Red Ridge trail had muddy spots to work around. The Red Ridge Trail has some particularly huge muddy spots between the intersection of the Red Ridge Link and the Moat Mountain Trail.
