Date of hike: August 16, 2009
Trails: Old Jackson Road, Madison Gulf Trail, Great Gulf Trail, Davis Path (isolation and back), Glen Boulder Trail, Direttissima
Trail Conditions: Just a couple of muddy spots on Madison and Great Gulf Trail. Trail work has been done on Great Gulf Trail past the Sphinx Trail junction, lots of tiny fern branches have been clipped and no longer hanging over into trail. Yellow Blazers hard to find last .5 miles up Great Gulf, couldn't locate any cairns either, ended up off trail. All trails above treeline were perfect, Glen Boulder Trail and Direttissima in good shape.
