Hopefully the SAR teams will not be too busy this weekend but there's already been at least one rescue. Shout out of thanks to all those involved in Wilderness SAR.

Bethlehem – A Lebanon woman who injured her ankle Thursday night had rescue teams responding to a White Mountains trail to carry her out, according to Fish and Game.

Elyse George, 21, who is a member of the Dartmouth Outing Club, was hiking with a companion on the Gale River trail when she slipped. A call for assistance was made at about 8:30 p.m., bringing conservation officers and volunteers from the Pemigewasset Valley Search and Rescue up the trail about two miles to reach her.

She was carried out at about 2 a.m. Friday morning.

There was another rescue yesterday. According to the Union Leader:

"A Jefferson boy suffered minor cuts and bruises in a hiking fall Sunday and had to be rescued.

Case Ingersoll, 10, fell while hiking with his family on the Ice Gulch trail around 2:30 p.m.

The hikers were unable to negotiate the trail's steep terrain and couldn't go up or down on the trail without assistance.

Conservation officers rescued the Ingersolls and got them to their car at 10:20 p.m."
