Trail Conditions: Webster Cliff Trail mostly dry and snow-free until ~3k feet just shy of the first outlook. Ledges were not an issue--mostly dry. The woods above 3k had a few inches of white stuff but traction was not necessary. Between Webster and Jackson the trail had a definitive wintery feel- more snow and a few nasty icy patches. Webster Jackson had a few uncomfortable looking ice sections but we elected to glissade rather than risk a fall. A lot of the really icy sections had adjacent open woods that made for good alternatives as well.

Special Equipment Required: All 3 of us barebooted but microspikes may have been useful--as long as you don't mind taking them on and off every few minutes (not a fan myself).

Comments: Gorgeous sunny day to be out. Thanks to my dad and little bro for willing to head up to the mountains for their first 'winter' hike.
