Date hiked: Today, November 15

Conditions: Some wet puddles on the trail, the North Nashua River was flowing well after all the rain. Saw lots of late fall mushrooms and shelf fungi!

This is a great Sunday walk without a long drive. Because of all the rain, the current in the river was quite swift. This is a very pretty hike; we went up to where the trail turns by I-190, and came back the same way. My daughter, Cil took so many photos that we didn't take the time to explore some of the side trails. Last time I was in there was in the winter of 2001, taking a group to snowshoe. It looks as if there is a trail on the other side of the river, but I don't know where the access point is.

Parking: Have to park on the shoulder of Route 70, because the parking area has now been gated. Too bad!
