Looks like Ida was just a rain event. Trail conditions not really much different than my Mansfield hike last week. A little bit of frozen mud and ice covered rocks along the western approach to this 3,538-foot peak near Stowe. Nothing that would call for any special footwear; just a little extra caution. With the warm temps over the next few days, the trail should continue to dry out.

Really spectacular views of Mansfield and Camel's Hump from the wide-open popular "summit" area. Continued along the Skyline Trail for a bit until the descent toward Hogback Mountain. Not exactly sure where the true summit is ... the USGS marker is in the open area but that didn't really line up with my topo map that seemed to indicate it was one of the PUDs along the Skyline Trail. Not too important though as this one doesn't count for anything but a good time. :)
